While preparing for a competitive exam, the first step is to always understand the exam and how to get through it?
TSPSC is a state-level examination for being employed by the Telangana state public service Commission. There are 4 group exams for being an employee of Telangana state public service. The group-1 exam is for being employed for the highest post. Group-1 consists of all high-rank posts and the employees are paid with highest salaries.
The group-1 exam of TSPSC can be tough as it consists of the highest post, but it is easy to crack with the right preparation.
The application form is filled out based on an online mode. The exam is conducted in offline mode.
Every exam has a different paper pattern and marks allotment. TSPSC exam of group-1 is a paper with a duration of 3 hours and maximum marks of 300.
The age limit for the TSPSC examination is 18 to 44 years. This can also vary based on the post chosen.
Educational qualifications for applying for the TSPSC exam is a Graduate degree from a recognized university.
There are three 3 stages of the TSPSC exam:
- Prelims
- Main
- Interview.
In the first part, candidates are tested based on their personalities, and updates regarding current affairs, and new things in society. The candidates who clear the prelims only enter the next phase the mains. Mains is a written exam and very important to clear TSPSC.
The candidates must be fully prepared for the six papers. The last phase is the interview, where the overall performance of the candidate is made a note. The selection of candidates depends on the mains and the interview round.
Process of Application:
- Go to the official website of TSPSC
- Complete the one registration process and upload a photo and signature.
- Once the login formalities are completed you can log in using the details. Then choose the online application.
- Pay the examination fee according to the category chosen.
- Take a print of the completed application for further needs.
The application fee is as follows:
Rs 120 as the examination fee and Rs 250 as the application processing fees. Candidates with SC/ST and OBC are exempted from the fees.
Documents required:
There would be certain documents required for identity proof.
The accepted documents are:
- Aadhar card
- PAN card
- Voter’s ID
- Passport
- Driving license
- Any other documents that are issued by the Gazetted officer
Admit card/ Hall ticket details.
TSPSC releases hall tickets one week before the examination. Candidates must go to the official website of TSPSC and download the hall ticket that is mentioned under notifications. Once you click on the hall ticket in the notifications, it will direct you to a page where the candidate must enter the Date of Birth, hall ticket number, and one-time password to the registered mobile number.
Once this is done and the candidate accepts the guidelines for examination, the candidate can download the hall ticket.
On the day of the examination, a hard copy of the hall ticket along with the mentioned documents is supposed to be carried for identification proof.
Exam pattern details:
As mentioned earlier there are three phases.
The first phase, prelims have one paper with 150 questions, Objective type. It consists of 150 marks with an exam duration of 2 and ½ hours.
Prelims are just a qualifying paper, but it plays an important round in the selection of Mains. The candidate can give mock tests for a better understanding of the topics.
The second phase, Mains is a descriptive paper. It has 6 papers and an English language qualifying paper. Each paper with 150 marks and an exam duration of 3 hours.
Mains is a descriptive answer, and the candidate can score a plus point by the method in which the answers are written.
The third phase is the interview round.
The total marks for the TSPSC examination are 1000.
Cut off marks.
The cut of marks for the TSPSC examination is not the same every year. The calculation for the cut-off is not accessible to the public.
However, the cut-off marks depend on the difficulty level of the exam and the vacancies available.
Results:
TSPSC declares results on its official website. TSPSC releases the scoreboard of candidates after the 3 rounds. The scoreboard includes the scores of all the 3 rounds and releases a merit list. Scores for individual rounds can be checked by the cut-off marks released and the score that the candidate scores.
Different posts are allotted to the candidate depending on the total marks scored by them.
